The Director-General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad, held important meetings in Washington in recent days with senior officials from the CIA and the FBI. The discussions focused on strengthening intelligence cooperation, counterterrorism efforts, and advancing the historic relationship between Somalia and the United States.
The Director-General also visited the headquarters of the United States Special Operations Forces at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he held an important meeting with Colonel Benander, the commander of US special operations forces, who previously served in Somalia.
Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad thanked the United States Government for its continued support and cooperation with Somalia, particularly in the areas of security and counterterrorism. He noted that this partnership has led to tangible successes, including recent operations targeting senior leaders of the Khawarij
