The delegation included members of both Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, State Minister for Religious Affairs Abubakar Jeylani, and the Governor of Lower Shabelle Region.
Upon arrival at Barawe Airport, the delegation received a warm welcome from the district administration, security officials, and various sections of the local community.
The purpose of the visit was to inaugurate and officially open the Justice and Unity Party (JSP) office in Barawe district, as well as to hold various meetings with different segments of the community. As part of their agenda, the delegation formally launched the Justice and Unity Party (JSP) office, which was one of the key objectives of the trip.
Speaking to the media, the General Representative of the Justice and Unity Party (JSP) in Barawe district, Shaacir Omar Beyle, said that the opening of the office marks an important step toward raising public awareness and strengthening the political participation of the district’s residents.
During the event, several officials delivered valuable speeches, including Zakaria Gaashaan, Secretary for Electoral Affairs and Political Party Relations; Senator Iftin Baasta, Secretary for Security and Defence Affairs; former Chief Justice of the country, Ibrahim Idle Noor; and Somalia’s State Minister for Religious Affairs, Abubakar Jeylani.
The officials spoke in depth about the importance of strengthening the democratic system, promoting social unity, and the role of political parties in advancing transparent governance.
Finally, the ceremony was officially concluded by Somalia’s State Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Ambassador Ilyas Sheikh Omar, who delivered the closing remarks and highlighted the importance of the new office in expanding the party’s activities and accelerating public political participation.
